Nomade Orquestra is releasing its long-awaited fifth studio album, "Terceiro Mundo". The work goes far beyond music, also representing a journey of resistance, resilience and inventiveness. The creation process began in 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic and social isolation. With 8 tracks, the album is like a patchwork quilt of sounds, where old ideas have come to life and new compositions have been created exclusively for this project.

"We're closing a very important conceptual cycle in our work. This is the last record in an instrumental trilogy that has forged our aesthetic. We bet on grooves and energetic beats, with strong influences from funk and soul music, powerful brass sections, sound spices from different places and cultures, flutes and other ethnic instruments. Everything has been thought out and produced to create our so-called 'soundscapes', taking listeners and fans on that classic journey without leaving the place. This is how we've chosen to close this period in our history, celebrating everything we've delivered so far and already looking to the future, making way for our new phase."
Released on the New York label Nublu Records, in digital format and also with a confirmed vinyl pressing, "Terceiro Mundo" is a dive into the collective's essential universe. This record is a continuation of the two focal - and fundamental - repertoires in the band's discography: "Nomade Orquestra" (2014) and "Entremundos" (2017).

"The choice of title also refers to the geopolitical term itself, in which third-worldism is present in our experiences: Brazil, São Paulo, ABC. We face reality and all the challenges imposed on us with hope. We fully believe that music and art are necessary expressions for a mentally blocked society. Our journey is an ode to the sensory and the powerful invisible that permeates our lives. We perform with excellence, even in the face of difficulties. In every aspect of this release we used "rudimentary" technologies. The music was constructed almost like a collage. The recording was done "live", with all the musicians playing together. This album is a melting pot, a miscellany of experiences that creates a unique identity in the context of Brazilian instrumental music".

Walking quickly through the work, the track "EntreMundos" symbolizes the transition from the second album to this new chapter. "O Nascimento do Sol InvencÃvel" is an expression of faith in tomorrow. In "Peixeira Amolada & Quebra Queixo", the idea is to explore popular stereotypes of the third world, while "Cidade Estrangeira" delves into the cultural diversity of São Paulo. "O Extraordinário Presente" is a breath of freedom and hope, while "Mariposa Tigre" combines influences from funk and reggae, genres very present in Nomade's compositions. "Invasão de Pindorama" reflects Brazil's cultural miscegenation and, closing, "Revolução dos Cocos" is inspired by an ecological revolt that took place in Papua New Guinea - the world's first ecological revolution.
